Rules
Children may select three items total: one item for themselves and two items to give away.
Shopping intervals are 20 minutes per group. Participants must finish shopping and exit the shopping area when their group’s time ends.
Parents and guardians may not enter the shopping area with their children unless assistance is absolutely necessary. Notify New Rochelle United Methodist Church volunteers if assistance is needed upon arrival.
Cell phones are not permitted in the shopping area. Phones must remain with a parent or guardian or be stored as directed by church volunteers.
Bags are not allowed inside the shopping area. Bags must remain with a parent or guardian or be stored as directed by church volunteers.
Participants must follow directions from event staff and volunteers and treat the space, items, and other participants respectfully.
Items are provided as-is and cannot be returned, exchanged, or replaced.
Parent/Guardian Acknowledgements
I have reviewed the rules with my child.
I understand the three-item limit and the 20-minute group shopping intervals.
I understand the restrictions on parents in the shopping area, cell phones, and bags.
I understand that items are provided as-is, with no returns, exchanges, or replacements.
I accept responsibility for my child’s participation and selections.
I understand that participation is voluntary.
I understand that New Rochelle United Methodist Church and event organizers are not responsible for the condition, fit, suitability, or use of items after they are selected.
Media Release
The parent or legal guardian will have the opportunity to grant or deny permission for their child to be photographed, videotaped, or recorded during the Kids 4 Good Center. Photographs, videos, or recordings may be used by New Rochelle United Methodist Church and the event organizers for promotional, educational, community, social media, website, or other communications related to the event and its mission, without additional notice or compensation. The parent/ guardian understands that choosing not to grant permission will not affect their child’s ability to participate in the event.
Release and Indemnification
Plain-language acknowledgment: To the extent permitted by applicable law, the parent or legal guardian releases and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless New Rochelle United Methodist Church, its pastors, staff, volunteers, representatives, and event organizers from claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from the child’s participation in the event or the selection, possession, or use of any item, except to the extent caused by the church’s or organizers’ gross negligence, willful misconduct, or conduct that cannot legally be released.
